Our 1.64 Update is here, and Cross Country fans, this one’s especially for you! We’ve got brand-new races to challenge your skills, powerful new skills to level up your game, and a new photomode feature to capture your most memorable Cross Country moments.
And that’s not all—we’re also introducing the elegant Anglo-Arab breed, ready to make its mark on Cross Country. But before we jump into all the juicy details, we have an exciting announcement to make!
Selling Your Horse? Keep Your Diet Plan!
One of the most requested features from our community is on the way—Diet Plans are now refunded when you sell a horse!*
Previously, selling a horse also meant saying goodbye to any Diet Plans that had been applied, and as many of you know, these plans are extremely valuable. Diet Plans are purchased using Diet Tokens earned exclusively through Live Events and Limited Time Events, so losing one can feel like a big setback.
With this change, you can now sell horses with peace of mind, knowing that the Diet Plans you’ve worked hard to earn will be returned to your inventory. We hope this makes stable management a little less stressful and a lot more flexible.
As a cherry on top, we’re also making improvements to the Performance section of the Market. Previously, Diet Plan offerings refreshed weekly—but soon, you’ll see new Diet Plans refreshed daily, giving you more chances to grab the plans you need, right when you need them.
*Disclaimer: You’ll need to be on version 1.64 before Diet Plan refunds begin on June 2nd so please hang tight!
Cross Country Takes the Lead!
Get ready—this update is taking your one of your favorite modes to exciting new heights! From June 6th, we’re kicking off a week-long Legendary Studs event that lets you test the brand-new Rolling Current trait—and even cross-breed your own Anglo-Arab—before the Sovereign’s Stride Limited-Time Event begins. Throughout the week, horses in the stud list will include the Anglo-Arab, which carries the Rolling Current breed trait, so you can breed trial horses, see how the trait feels on hard surface courses, and start planning your dream cross-country lineup.
Then, on June 9th, leap into an action-packed cross-country week, including a special Limited-Time Event packed with rewards.
Originating in France, the Anglo-Arab blends Arabian endurance with Thoroughbred power. This new breed arrives just in time for our Cross Country week, and brings with it a brand-new breed trait that’s tailor-made for the terrain.
Remember, you’ll have two opportunities to experience the Rolling Current trait:
- June 6 – Legendary Studs (Early Access): Anglo-Arab’s in the stud list will carry Rolling Current for one week. Use this early window to try the trait, experiment with pairings, and get a feel for how it works!
- June 9 – Limited Time Event: Tackle Cross Country-themed tasks & earn special rewards.
During Cross Country Week, we’re also unveiling brand-new PvP courses set in the beautiful Ranch and picturesque Lucerne— fresh competitive tracks to test your best times against the community. It’s a thrilling month packed with races, rewards, and excitement—perfect for every Cross Country enthusiast!
New Cross Country Skills: Launch Control and Last Stand
We’re adding two new skills to bring Cross Country the same layer of strategy you’re used to in Flat Racing—extra options to tweak your approach and potentially shave a few precious seconds off your times.
Launch Control kicks things off with a burst of speed during the first 10 seconds of a cross-country ride. Perfect for players aiming to shave precious seconds off their time, this skill lets you surge ahead from the starting gate, creating exciting opportunities to manage your stamina and set a strong pace early on.
Then, there’s Last Stand, a skill designed to give you a strategic edge in the final stretch. This skill activates after the third-to-last fence, providing a powerful boost as you approach the finish line—perfect for making up time or locking in a clean finish when it matters most.
Improved UI & Skill Icons & Skill Changes
To support these new additions, we’ve also updated the Skills interface to make game modes easier to navigate at a glance. All skills now feature new visual tags that show whether they’re compatible with Flat Racing, Steeplechase, or Cross Country. These tags appear throughout the game—on reward screens, in your skill list, and in pre-race screens—so you’ll always know exactly which skills are race-ready.
Plus, the Skills screen will now automatically filter out any skills that don’t apply to the game mode you’re preparing for, helping you find the right strategy faster.
We’ve also made a few updates to existing skills to bring them in line with newer features and make them more versatile across game modes:
- Distance Learner: (+X% bonus XP)
- Previously: For a Stallion. Race distance 2000m or longer.
- Now: For a Stallion.
- Quick Learner: (+X% bonus XP)
- Previously: When placed 3rd or better.
- Now: No condition. This skill can now be used in both Flat Racing and Cross Country.
- Big Earner: (+X% bonus silver)
- Previously: When placed 3rd or better.
- Now: No condition. This skill can now be used in both Flat Racing and Cross Country.
Note: The exact “X” bonus scales with the skill’s rarity (Bronze → Diamond).
We’re also rolling out brand-new mode icons and rarity finishes for every skill, so you can instantly tell whether it belongs in Flat Racing, Cross Country, or Steeplechase, and how powerful it is (Bronze, Silver, Gold, or Diamond). Paired with our smarter filtering and cleaner pre-race screens, this update means less digging through menus and more time blazing down the course. Equip, race, win—easy as that!
Picture-Perfect Moments: Cross Country Photomode
Ever wished you could freeze your horse mid‑air over a fence or capture the crowd roaring behind you? Now you can! Photomode is coming to PvE Cross Country, giving you the power to pause the action and snap share‑worthy shots without missing a beat.

How it works
- Tap the camera icon on the left side of the screen any time during a PvE Cross Country ride. (Rival Races and Live Races excluded).
- Pan, zoom, or adjust the time slider to slow things down for that perfect angle.
- Use your device’s built‑in screenshot tools to save your masterpiece.
- Hit the Back button to jump straight back into the race—the timer keeps ticking at the speed you set, so every second counts!
Refuse a jump or cross the finish line while in Photomode? No worries—you’ll pop right back into normal gameplay, ready for the results screen or a quick reset.
We can’t wait to see the dramatic leaps, sweeping vistas, and heart‑stopping finishes you capture! Share your best shots with the hashtag #RivalStarsHorseRacing so the whole community can admire your skills!
